After a few more afternoons and evenings working on the spoon, this is what it looks like.

I used the Frost Mora crook knife to begin hollowing out the bowl. Still a ways to go yet, but it's coming along nicely.

Frank Adams: I started this blog to combine two of my passions: Paleo nutrition and wilderness self-reliance, or bushcraft. At first glance, these two concepts seem unrelated, however I believe that an important aspect of self-reliance is maintaining a healthy body so as to depend less on others (for medicine, processed foods, etc.) A closer inspection reveals that these two concepts actually go hand-in-hand rather well. With both the nutritional and wilderness aspects, the focus is on getting back to a natural way of living. So in an effort to achieve a balance in my life that only nature can offer, I will periodically be posting on everything from delicious recipes for home and the bush to wilderness skills exercises and natural movement.
